Sunday, another beautiful and sunny day... what better destination than The Beaches! Am soooo excited....
Believe it or not, Huda and Sarah who have been living in Toronto for about 14 years, have never made it to The Beaches, even though they are not that far away (1/2 hour drive with no traffic). But like with all of us, when you live in a place, you always think you still have time to see all the sights - or you wait for visitors to come and drag you out and about!!!
The Beaches (also known as "The Beach") is a neighbourhood and popular tourist destination located in Toronto. It is located on the east side of the "Old" City of Toronto.
The Beach itself is a single uninterrupted stretch of sandy shoreline bounded by the R. C. Harris Water Treatment Plant (locally known as the water works) to the east and Woodbine Park (a small peninsula in Lake Ontario) to the west. A long boardwalk runs along most of its length with a portion of the Martin Goodman Trail bike path running parallel.
A reluctant walker....
Damm, they found us again....Another military plane on training rounds....
How wonderful to walk barefoot in the sand.... but brrrr the water is quite cold... apparently Lake Ontario never really warms up.
Perfect day at the beach....except for.... Where is the coffee shop???
