Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation - Run For The Cure

Sarah is doing a great thing... she is walking and fundraising for the "2011 Toronto Run for the Cure" - Sunday October 2nd, University of Toronto St. George (Downtown) Campus, 10:00 am start for the 5 km run.

We actually did a practise walk last weekend, to train Sarah and to see how long it would take.... last Saturday was a nice and sunny day and fun to do, followed by breakfast ... to treat ourselves!

Today, it was a cold and rainy day -  good on you Sarah for going through with it!!!!!

TORONTO, October 2, 2011 – Now in its 20th year, about 30,000 Canadians united to raise over $30 million today in the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure. Funds raised support the Foundation’s vision of creating a future without breast cancer. Canadians have once again shown how this disease truly affects us all.

Today I of course had flashbacks of my RELAY days.... years really.... It's great to see people unite everywhere to honor survivors and remember those who have left us, and to fight the decease!  I got quite emotional - as you can imagine....
