Spain: Local Markets & Puerto Banus

Another pleasant day.... today we are off to the local markets for more shopping.  I love markets - but I can't buy too much - have a weight limit on the plane bu huu....and I don't know where I will be going or settling.... so much restrain is asked for here.... I just have to come back sometime in the future and shop!

The market is next to the bullring, but we can't go inside...

After the market we drive to Puerto Banus - a very upmarket place!  This is where the 'other half' lives and plays and shops.....

Puerto José Banús, more commonly known as Puerto Banús is a marina located in the area of Nueva Andalucía, to the southwest of Marbella, on the Costa del Sol. It was built in May 1970 by José Banús, a local property developer, as a luxury marina and shopping complex. It has since become one of the largest entertainment centres in the Costa del Sol, with 5 million annual visitors.

Visitors to the port tend to be mostly tourists from northern Europe (especially United Kingdom) and Arabs (especially Kuwait and Saudi Arabia), along with Spanish tourists. The focal point of Puerto Banus is the marina. It has berths for 915 boats, including those of the King of Saudi Arabia and several of the world's wealthiest individuals. Behind the harbour lie streets filled with bars, boutiques and nightclubs.

Its streets are lined with expensive luxury boutiques like Christian Dior, Gucci, Bvlgari, Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, and others. One stretch is known as "The Golden Mile". Apart from the chain of restaurants, boutiques, in the heart of the Antonio Banderas Square is one of the largest El Corte Ingles department stores in Spain.

The Hard Rock Cafe!!!! There is one in every town around the world... almost...

This one is mine... .... and off I sail into the sunset...... (dream on girls...)

We have a sandwich lunch at one of the cheaper coffeeshops, wonder through the Corte Ingles.... and drive home again by sunset.

Dinner at home and watching our British shows .... life IS good!
